About Daunia Mine:

Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven’s existing Winchester South development project. Daunia features state-of-the-art infrastructure and mining operations, including well-established autonomous equipment and infrastructure

About the Role

Joining the Maintenance team, you will be working in an exciting, fast-paced team environment which is dynamic and strives to continuously improve. Working in collaboration with site personnel you will be responsible for achieving safety and performance targets, by enabling the effective Maintenance of operational Fleet.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible to safely execute the daily maintenance plan. You will be challenged and rewarded at the same time with access to some of the latest technology in mining automation and leading high caliber teams.

Trade based maintenance supervision roles are available for experienced mining maintenance supervisors or those ready to take the next step in their career following extended time as a support supervisor or leading hand.

What You’ll Do

Ensure compliance to schedule philosophies, drive a strong safety culture, nd seek to continuously improve operating efficiency.

Develop the capability of your team to ensure a safe productive result.

Roles are being considered for Field, Workshop (Mobile) and Fixed Plant areas.

Roles will be responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.

What You’ll Bring

Previous Experience in a Mining Maintenance environment is essential.

Experience with computer based maintenance systems (SAP) is essential.

Demonstrated experience in leading teams and active personnel management is essential.

The ability to work in high intensity environments, under pressure and manage competing priorities is essential.

Demonstrated high attention to detail and the ability to identify and execute improvements to continuously optimise performance will be highly regarded.

A willingness to learn and develop skills in all areas of mining maintenance is essential.

CAT Command Autonomous Haulage System experience is desirable but not essential.

Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.

Ability to pass a QLD Coal Board Medical

High level of computer literacy and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
