About the Position
We're excited to offer a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced Project Cost Controller to be an integral part of Terra Mining’s operations. You will support the project team by ensuring that accurate and timely cost information is available to facilitate effective and efficient decision making.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Project Cost Controller will work Monday to Friday in our head office in West Perth and will travel to projects when needed to assist with their operations.
As a Project Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and reliable project cost management of our projects are met.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
Review and consolidate project data for reporting.
Coordinate the project operating budget and forecast reviews.
Preparing, updating and monitoring cost curves for expenditures and commitments.
Checking cost to date for accuracy and correct coding and identifying missing costs/accruals.
Provide the Project Manager with monthly journals for allocation of labour, plant and equipment and subcontractor costs to the respective WBS where necessary.
What You Will Bring to Terra Mining
A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or equivalent.
Proven experience (3 years) as a Project Cost Controller, preferably within the mining industry.
Experience using MS Office Suite and accounting packages eg Xero and Pronto.
Demonstrated ability to achieve high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of cost control processes.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage a variety of stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
Exceptional communication skills and meticulous record-keeping.
