We seek an exceptional Graduate Civil Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group based at our Brisbane office.
Reporting to the Construction Manager and under the guidance of experienced engineering personnel, the Graduate Engineer will develop skills, knowledge, and experience associated with McMahon Services’ business processes. The role is also expected to embrace the working culture of McMahon Services and add a dynamic to the team environment through active participation and engagement, undertaking project engineering activities.
This opportunity will provide experience working on a range of civil construction projects including bulk and detailed earthworks, and large-scale environmental remediation.
Work Type: Full Time Location: Brisbane Key Responsibilities: To work closely with the project team in order to ensure compliance with client and McMahon Services’ processes
Effective communication and building positive relationships with clients, project team and management
Assist with cost management, including preparation of progress claims, variations and project budget control
Compliance with contract terms and conditions for projects
Problem-solving and innovation as an individual and as part of a team
Ability to follow directions
Ability to work away as required
Undertake appropriate investigations, inspections and methodology development
A team player with demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to cope with urgency, efficiently assign work priorities and work in a high-pressure environment
Assist with construction program development and tracking project progress
Assist with the preparation and population of quality assurance documentation
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: Degree in Civil and Structural or Mechanical Engineering
To be successful in this role, it is essential you are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project, and have strong organisational / planning, verbal and written communication skills. You must also have the ability to follow directions and demonstrate innovative problem solving as an individual and as part of the team.
The ability to work away may be required in this position
