This position is full-time based in Sydney.
Position Responsibilities:
Conducting internal and third party airport, flight operations and quality audits.
Preparing checklists for use in both internal and external audits.
Reviewing applicable legislative change/s and recommending changes to the audit checklists.
Arranging and chairing audit entry/exit meetings.
Leading and assisting in audits.
Writing audit reports.
Monitoring the receipt of and the following up of corrective action response/s within the timeframe identified within the Group Audit Manual.
Assisting the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining the Audit Schedule, applicable data and analysis tools.
Investigating safety related events and reporting the results to the applicable Safety Management Group. Managing open engineering findings
Monitoring the receipt of and the following up of flight operations/ground operations RCA response/ s within the time frame identified on the RCA
Performing other tasks as directed by the Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager.
Selection Criteria
Experience in aviation or flight operations (highly desirable).
Experience and/or qualifications as a Lead Auditor (desirable).
Possess comprehensive knowledge of engineering procedures and practices and have good working knowledge of the CASA regulations, standards and documents
Have the ability to research, interpret and assess compliance against a range of legislation, policies and company procedures.
Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently engage and liaise with a range of subject matter experts from across various elements/functions of the organisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to facilitate the effective dissemination of information.
Excellent level of analytical and report writing skills with a focus on providing well researched recommendations.
Well developed IT skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Ability to work either independently or as part of a team in order to achieve a recognisable and measurable outcome.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
A high attention to detail
