Reporting to the Head of Operations – Travel Essentials, you’ll lead from the front ensuring that our 85+ employees across our regional retail/warehouse sites are engaged, supported and trained to the highest standard, to provide unparalleled customer service across our retail brands including Relay , News@ , Merchant , Amuse Beauty Studio , News Travels and The Townsville Store .
Working as part of a broader management team, you will:
Provide clear and effective communication and direction to Store Management
Ensure overall performance targets are achieved
Ensure our brand is well presented and our customers' needs are fulfilled.
Apply leadership and strategic planning capabilities
Foster a team-oriented approach to the development of employees
Build enduring value-added partnerships with our landlords
You’ll bring:
5 years+ leading large teams across multiple retail sites - ideally FMCG
Strong commercial acumen
Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
Sound knowledge of financial management processes and procedures
Experience in supporting the implementation of business plans & budgets
Proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams
Experience rostering with extended trading hours & maintaining compliance with the General Retail Industry Award
Experience with employee disciplinary procedures & performance management
