Principal Electrical Engineer - HV We support water customers across Australia to provide our communities with the best drinking water and wastewater treatment services, whilst innovat ing ways to safeguard and secure our country’s water supplies, elevating public spaces and enhancing livability .

The Opportunity

Y ou’ll be a key member of our W ater team who have secured projects that will change the way NSW operate s forever . We are providing a more efficient and integrated water system to cater to the growth of NSW and maintain and enhance outstanding environmental outcomes. Our W ater team offers services across the full water cycle, delivering major pipelines, large pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, recycling treatment , hydrogen plants and ammonia facilities .

We address critical water cycle challenges and provide solutions through adopting flexible program delivery models and ongoing asset management programs. KBR have significant work in hand supporting key water utilities such as Sydney Water, Water NSW, Sydney Desalination Plant, SA Water, Urban Utilities and Melbourne Wate r to achieve phased savings in capital expenditure, while delivering the best environmental and community outcomes .

You will play a key role in the water team and strongly contribute to projects, people leadership, technical direction, client relationships and commercial direction . Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.

Who are you?

You are a delivery focused Principal Electrical Engineer who is motivated by achievement and outcome-focused . You r experience with design practices for treatment plants across water utilities , industrial and/or mining will be highly valued . You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer you will plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection , and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. You will perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

The role would be focusing on electrical and electronic systems including power transmission and distribution, lighting, motor control centers and communications systems. Some knowledge of control & instrumentation would also be an advantage.
