General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)
Nurse at Call is a family owned boutique labour hire company, specialising in the recruitment and placement of top tier nurses and midwives to rural, remote and coastal facilities throughout Australia.
We are seeking a general manager who possesses strong leadership skills and who is an effective communicator. We pride ourselves on being a ‘people first’ organisation and ultimately, our ideal candidate will not only lead the team through positive behavioural modelling, but also lead our business to maximum productivity and efficiency.
Primary Objectives
• Lead and drive the strategic direction for the organisation.• Implement the Core Values, Mission and Vision Statements for the organisation.
• To maximise profitability through sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Coach and develop the supervisor/s to succeed in their role/s within the organisation.
• Develop business strategy and goals in order for action plans to be developed by the team/teams.
• Develop a culture for continuous improvement to ensure effective business practices are deployed.
• Espouse and model the core values of the organisation.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues to identify staff strengths and development areas and encourage retention, where practicable.
• Accountable for the financial position of the organisation, both revenue and
expenditure.
• Conduct audits on business practice to ensure quality standards are being maintained.
• Develop for submission new tenders on behalf of the business.
• Undertake mandatory reporting as per contractual arrangements and/or licensing requirements.
• Develop for approval from the CEO, alterations to contractual pricing to ensure the business remains a ‘Preferred Supplier’ to facilities.
About you:
Degree educated in Finance, Business or Project Management (or equivalent)
Experience working as a Senior Manager
Contract management & medical supply chain experience
Experience managing a P&L
Experience scaling a business to new heights
Experience writing successful tender submissions
