Senior Business Analyst

Primary role:
As a Senior Business Analyst, youʼll be using your background in software implementation and finance to act as a subject matter expert on The Odessa Platform, our Equipment Leasing and Finance software. Youʼll be engaging with customers on software implementations while using your expertise in SDLC/Implementations to guide them on making the best business decisions for their company while utilizing our product. Youʼll also be collaborating and receiving guidance from your Business Architect and work alongside teammates including Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and more. Most importantly, youʼll be a key member of the larger organisation who will facilitate your growth and success, encourage you to speak your mind, and enable you.
What you will do:
Analyse a customerʼs business and translate it into business requirements for the system while providing support to remote colleagues in Bangalore during design, development, and testing phases to see the requirements through to completion
Use Business knowledge to assist the client in configuring the Odessa Platform to meet specific business needs
Understand and describe processes within the business domain
Conduct user application training
Assist with design reviews with internal and customer groups
Assist customer in planning and scoping of data migration
Assist with customer functional questions and support
Mentor Business Analysts
Assist with onboarding of new team members and growing product and domain knowledge amongst the local team
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorʼs degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related major
Educational or professional experience with business and/or accounting 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or other functional roles working on the full spectrum of the Software Development Lifecycle
Experience implementing Financial Software Experience in the analysis of business requirements in the financial domain (preferably with lease/loan or asset finance experience)
Experience working with global teams
Expertise in software requirement gathering/writing and design process
Experience writing/executing user test cases
Understands basic client/server and database architectures
Strong customer interaction and relationship management abilities
Issue & project tracking software experience
Basic SQL knowledge
Ability to travel at key points throughout the implementation process
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with ERP or similar types of software
Hands-on experience in the Equipment Leasing and/or Asset Finance industries
Ability to engage in business and/or accounting-intensive discussions with clients
Ability to resolve/diffuse conflict and be comfortable in tense situations
Ability to multi-task effectively and manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
Basic JIRA knowledge
