About the Role
We are looking for experienced Commissioning Engineer- Stations to work on our complex civil/rail project in Perth, Western Australia. This role will assist the Engineering team and be responsible for contributing to the project.
Key responsibilities
Taking on the lead role for discipline or multiple disciplines commissioning activities
Deliver all commissioning, testing and operational readiness pre-requisites to successfully handover a rail system to the client
Provides adequate input and review to all commissioning planning, test planning, ITPs, ITRs, test results and reports across assigned engineering disciplines
Tracking costs and managing subcontractors
Deliver commissioning management plans and sub-plans in accordance with project requirements
Actively participate and coordinate all elements of commissioning including:
Factory Acceptance Testing
Type approvals
Construction Verification
Site Acceptance Testing
System Integration Testing
Reporting tothe Commissioning Manager and Construction Project Manager for specific testing stage tasks
Participate with the completions team for final handover and asset acceptance
Participate in possessions and shutdowns as required to enable work to progress
Provide leadership and direction to direct reports as well as interface with design management and construction delivery teams
The assessment of the work dependencies, staging and allocation of works to competent and approved personnel
Assessing and approving competencies to individual resources appropriate to the works being carried out
Develop Laing O’Rourke testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure that they meet all relevant standards
Assess and manage the training requirements of Testing and Commissioning resources, including the sharing of lessons learned from each delivered project
About you
Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline or similar
Experience in commissioning rail systems in communication and/or signalling
Experience in commissioning in a rail systems environment
Experience in urban AC electrified rail systems is highly desirable
