Community Services #1 (CS#1) is a not for profit, registered charity organisation, managing and delivering a range of services designed to meet community needs in the ACT and regional NSW (Murrumbidgee and Southern NSW). About the role:
We are seeking applications from a suitability qualified Registered Nurse (highly desirable) or Allied Health Professional and/or with graduate qualifications in case management/allied health, to lead and supervise a team of professionals and support workers, to deliver home and community care services.
This position is recognised as a key management/senior leadership position within CS#1 and is central to the provision of operational leadership and management to ensure high quality, safe and meaningful client centred care.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Aged Care Services, the Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Aged Care Services, with a view to manage, monitor and review the program, ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, care and clinical governance framework, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages and Care Finder programs.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Team Leaders and Coordinators to champion high quality and safe practice supporting continuous improvement. The successful applicant will also lead, coach and mentor their team to deliver quality outcomes for clients and build a strong and positive culture in line with our Purpose and Mission – Connecting people to enrich lives and provide services that enhance quality of life.
The Operations Director will have the support of the CS#1 Executive and Leadership teams to guide and support the Aged Care Services executive program in line with the program's strategic direction and yearly KPIs.
Permanent full-time position (76 hours/fortnight, core hours are 9.00am to 5.06pm)
Annual salary from $110,913 to $115,537, commensurate with qualifications and experience, (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Service Award) plus superannuation and tax benefits to maximise take home pay

Qualifications and experience:
Registered Nurse (RN highly desirable) / Allied Health Professional with current AHPRA registration, and/or Graduate qualifications in case management, or relevant field
Demonstrated experience or knowledge of clinical support and/or case management experience in home care or aged care to support complex clients
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, the aged care reform agenda and funding
Demonstrated experience managing daily operations of aged care service programs or similar, including financial management, to deliver strategic outcomes and measurable operational improvement
Demonstrated experience in developing and managing teams to deliver high quality service, and creating a culture of continuous improvement and empowering teams and individuals to speak up when they see opportunity for improvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing reports, policy and procedures, delivering promotional material and mediating positive outcomes for clients and teams
