A large city based Government Department are looking for a candidate at the APS6 level to work within the Governance and Finance Unit. The Unit covers many corporate functions including budget, developing and implementing governance arrangements and supporting a broad range of investment projects.
As part of a small team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide secretariat support for two Boards. In addition, you will provide administrative and coordination support to the Director, Assistant Director and team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work within timeframes and quality requirements
Execute secretariat functions for two Boards, including: arranging meeting logistics, developing agendas, forward calendars, and meeting papers as needed
Provide clear guidance to stakeholders on Territories and Project Board governance arrangements.
Utilise expertise to provide support and assistance to the Unit and the Division in areas such as procurement, contract management, research and communication, fostering collaboration across the Division and Department
To be shortlisted for interview, you will have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience or readiness to learn secretariat functions, governance frameworks and corporate tasks
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exhibit effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently, meet deadlines and work well within a team
Display initiative, autonomy and attention to detail
Bring energy and enthusiasm to the role
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and work collaboratively within the branch
Outstanding communication skills and time management skills
Baseline security clearance is essential
